Ms. Yesim was born and raised in Ankara, Turkey and moved to the US after she got married. She was an elementary school teacher in Turkey and taught in public school for five years. She has a degree in Elementary Education from Selcuk University. Ms. Yesim studied at Purdue University in Lafayette, Indiana where she obtained a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction.

When she was looking for a preschool for her own children, she discovered the beauty of the Montessori method and decided to pursue Montessori training. She is currently in the process of obtaining her American Montessori Society Early Childhood Credential from the Westside Teacher Training Program in New York. She worked at several Montessori schools before landing at Yellow Acorn.

Ms. Yesim is also bilingual in Turksih and English. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her family and has a passion for cooking and baking. She currently lives in Scarsdale and is raising four children.
